The Minis rehearsed some of their songs, then moved right on to their craft. They made little lambs out of construction paper and cotton balls! I have a sample somewhere in the Official Choir Laundry Basket of Carrying Important Things (or just the laundry basket I guess) and if I have the time I will take a picture of it and put it up here!
The Littles' rehearsal was much the same, they practised a few songs, then worked on their craft. They made and decorated clam-shaped shakers out of paper plates and macaroni, which they will use at the concert during "Under The Sea". They also got smaller paper plates to decorate, then take home and make into shakers to keep.
The Childrens Choir also did the same. Their first order of business was to rehearse a few songs, then they quickly moved on to their special craft. They decorated tote bags with their names and the word "Choir" on them. I must say, we have quite the artists in SACC! The bags that I saw looked fantastic! The Childrens Choir also made pom-poms for their choreography in "Gaston".
In the meantime, the Youth choir was working on their craft: photo tote bags. They all got a bag, their headshot, a choir logo, and their pick of photos from recent concerts. After cutting the photos to fit in the 'frames' in the bag, some Youth decided to decorate the back, either with names of past concerts they participated in or the signatures of their fellow choir members. Some did both! After finishing our masterpieces, we rehearsed a few songs, then left with our bags.
Next Thursday we are at the United Church (upstairs, not downstairs!).
