We kicked off this season's tour at the Citadel Village, a senior's home. We sang all our Lion King pieces and all-together pieces, as well as having the Children's Choir sing "Tue Tue" and "Firefly", and having the Youth sing "We Are One".
The next place we toured was Neil M. Ross school, where we did all the Lion King and all-together pieces and had the Littles sing "Muziki Vuma" and the Children sing "Tue Tue" as well. The Youth choir also got to do the gumboot dance.
Then it was over to the Shrine Hall for a quick performance of our Lion King songs followed by a hot dog lunch graciously provided by the Shriners. After that, we headed over to Muriel Martin and J.J. Nearing school to do our mini-show two more times.
Big thank-yous to the helpers who came out with us, to Roger who provided us with a percussion section, and to the Youth choir that was able to attend--they were great contributors in each piece.
We're getting really close to our concert date--who's excited? I know I am!
See you all next rehearsal!
