The Minis sang through all their songs and practised their transitions within the show, as well as going over the sound effects for the reader's theatre piece they're involved in. Let me tell you, those kids are just too cute making all those bird calls.
The Littles did pretty much the exact same thing, but without the bird calls because that's not their reader's theatre piece. Instead, they practised their own reader's theatre story! I think they're really close to memorizing a lot of that stuff, which is really cool--and they can almost do some of the songs on their own, too!
The Children's Choir followed the same format--singing through most if not all of their songs, working on transitions, and going over their reader's theatre stuff. They're doing really well with their story.
The Youth choir went over their songs and transitions as well. They also reviewed the reader's theatre pieces they didn't get to last time and practised the gumboot dance too. I'm very impressed with how far they've all come on the gumboot dance in particular--though I'd still like to work on not speeding up during the second section! But I'm sure we'll get that worked out for the concert.
All the choirs were also briefed on school tour, save the Minis, who we don't bring on the school tours since it would be a pretty long day for them. The school tour log will be coming shortly, I hope.
