The Littles learned all of "Joy Inside", the chorus of "True Colours", and all of "I Wanna Be Like You" plus all the actions. They also practised "My Very Best Friends" with sign language and other actions, and they had a puppet show to introduce "Accentuate the Positive".
The Childrens Choir finished staging "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", learned "The Kite", reviewed "Wings To Fly", and learned a few things about music theory. They have now all signed up for parts they would like, and CM and I will start casting discussions soon so that we can announce roles next rehearsal.
The Youth choir acted out a few scenes, and worked on "I'm Not That Girl", "Breakaway", and "True Colours" in-depth. We're down in numbers this term, and we really need more people for the best possible choir sound, so please please please invite as many friends (that are interested and available) as you possibly can for the next rehearsal!
To the poor beleaguered high schoolers in SAYS: have as stress-free and happy an exam break as is humanly possible, and I wish you the best of luck on whatever exams you may be writing in the next two weeks. (You're all going to hate me for this, but I have no exams. Of course, I do have all my IB diploma exams next term, so my position is not entirely enviable...)
