The Minis are starting to sing already, and it's only their second rehearsal! They really caught on quickly to "A Candy Cane Christmas". To my surprise, they figured out how to play their tiny kazoos, which was adorable if slightly loud.
The Littles were split into mice vs soldiers so that CM could finally run their sword fight. I think everyone is happy with their role, and they were all certainly happy to get to work with those little foam swords again!
The Children's Choir worked on some songs while I worked with the Chinese Dance and Arabian Dance kids and CM worked with the toys for the battle scene. I will continue to work with my dancers next week, and our adult helpers will also be working on choreography for the bakers and candy cane flutes.
The Youth started their rehearsal with a few acting scenes, then worked on a few songs, as well as pillow choreography for "My Favourite Things". Unfortunately, CM might be cutting some of the choreo for that song as she feels it's detracting from our singing. She plans on keeping the slow-motion pillow fight in the middle, though, so keep bringing your pillows to rehearsal!
