In other news, the Minis start after next week!
The Littles started learning Wakati Wa Amani, practised Muziki Vuma and Mambo Jesu, and walked through our staging for Circle of Life and Rhythm of the Rain. They also had a puppet show where Duncan the Dog sang a song he wrote about dog bones!
The Childrens Choir also learned the staging for Circle of Life and Rhythm of the Rain. They practised Mambo Jesu, Takadamu, and Tue Tue as well.
The Youth choir, like the others, went through the staging for Circle of Life and Rhythm of the Rain. They also started learning the Gumboot Dance. Then, they discussed options for telling African folktales during the concert and started to decide who is reading what story--which is not finalized yet, so if you really want to switch groups you are able to do so.
See you all next week back at our regular rehearsal space!
