Mama Mary returned this rehearsal to tell the Littles and Children's Choir the story of "Jabu and the Lion".
The Littles sang through "I Just Can't Wait to be King", and "Muziki Vuma". They also practised"Circle of Life" and "Rhythm of the Rain" with staging, and they listened to Mama Mary's story.
The Children's Choir sang "Hakuna Matata" and "Takadamu", as well as staging "Circle of Life" and "Rhythm of the Rain". They too heard Mama Mary's story.
The Youth choir went through the Gumboot Dance a few times, and sang "We Are One", "Watu Wote", and "Wakati Wa Amani". They also worked on their reader's theatre African folktales. CM has some ideas to help those of you who may not be quite sure how to make your story come alive for the audience.
The Littles also welcomed Adam, a Littles and CC alumni, as a new helper. All the kids' choirs also have a new helper in Amanda, a member of SASG who happens to be a cousin of mine (yes, the choirs really are a family affair, not just for our family, but for the families of so many of our singers in both organizations as well).
