The Minis are singing a bit timidly at the moment, but they really love doing their "Waltz of the Flowers" dance and using their kazoos in "Ready Set Christmas". They will be assigned buddies from the Youth choir at the next rehearsal, which happens to be our craft night!
The Littles are doing great. Even the tougher pieces like "Russian Dance" are coming along nicely. The battle scene still needs some tweaking, which we will work on during the Nov. 10th workshop. The Littles will also be assigned buddies to work with during next rehearsals craft-making session.
The Childrens Choir is so keen and so great, CM and I agree that they'll really steal the show this year. The dancers are doing well, they just need to drill their stuff a bit more and they'll be fine. They get a craft to do next rehearsal as well, but no Youth buddies, largely because there simply aren't enough Youth singers to go around.
The Youth choir did some more acting scenes and several of their songs. We're doing pretty well, I think we have almost everything memorized by now. They'll be coming to the next rehearsal early so they can help their Mini and Little buddies with their crafts.
Remember, next weekend we have a Saturday workshop! If you or someone in your family received an email about it, that means we'll need you to be there. If you didn't get that email, don't worry about it! It means that you get to do whatever else you want that day, since you're not needed at the workshop!
Who's excited for Halloween? I know I am! I'm going as the Queen of Hearts this year, and yes, I'll be using the costume from our Alice in Wonderland concert, pictures of which can be found on the blogs home page. Are any of you dressing up for Halloween? If so, who/what are you dressing up as?
