There was a parent-teacher thing or something in the music room that we didn't know about, so all the choirs rehearsed in the library today.
The Minis did really well in the new space (or so I'm told) and they're starting to really sing, which is great! Next week, they make sheep stick puppets.
The Littles were a little more rambunctious* in the unfamiliar space, but still had a good rehearsal. Next week, they make ocean-themed musical instruments! The Grade 2s in SALS have been invited to join SACC on stage for "The Mob Song".
The Childrens Choir started a run of their show in order and (what wonderful timing) ended right before "The Mob Song". They also discussed respect (as they've been more than a bit wild and crazy recently), and next week will decorate tote bags with the word respect. They will also rehearse "The Mob Song" with the Grade 2 Littles and make pom-poms to be cheerleaders in "Gaston".
The Youth focused on only their music this week (no acting scenes!), and I am told they did wonderfully (of course!). CM said that they sang "Dream A Little Dream" especially well.
Now for some bad news: AR from the Youth choir, who was to be our Bear, has dropped out. The good news? She did it because got a major role in her schools production of Grease! We wish her well and await her return in September. So, it appears we must recast the role! CM is contemplating... Right now we're trying to decide between double-casting someone or bringing in someone from SACC or SASG instead. Your thoughts?

*The spell-check on Weebly says that "rambunctious" isn't spelled correctly (even though it is). Then again, it also says "Weebly" isn't spelled correctly... Spell-check is stupid and I wish I could get rid of it.
