The Minis ran their whole show, including their lines, and during the rehearsal they got to try on some of their costume pieces. They're really starting to sing! And they're speaking their lines more too. At the end of their rehearsal, we sang "Cover the World", and thanks to SW, one of our board members and the mom of two of our Minis, I now know that I've been doing some of the sign language wrong. So next time we sing it, watch closely!
The Littles ran their whole show as well, and also got to try on a few costume pieces and work with props. I'm kind of jealous of CP (our zookeeper)'s hat, because the last time we did this show (years and years ago), I was the zookeeper, and my hat wasn't nearly as nice. We later re-ran parts of "An Elephant Never Forgets" to work the lyrics in the second verse.
The Children's Choir ran their whole show as well, and they were fitted for/tried on costumes too. Seeing a pattern yet? Now, to any Children's Choir singers reading this, I challenge you to memorize anything you haven't yet, and encourage your fellow singers to try more songs and scenes without their music and scripts. You're all so close to having everything memorized!
