The Minis were the first to arrive, and ran through their show and other songs, then made teddy bear ornaments with their pictures on them and decorated gingerbread house ornaments. After that, they had a snack break, practiced a few songs, then joined the Littles to sing their together song, "Santa Is The Man", as well as "Cover the World With Love". They also performed their show for the Littles.
The Littles ran through their show and other songs as well. Their craft was making a zoo animal face on a popsicle stick (their pictures will be added to those later) as well as decorating a wreath ornament. They also had a snack break, and performed their show for the Children's Choir, then rehearsed with the Children's on "Away From The Mistletoe" and "Cover The World".
The Children's Choir ran through their show, then they did their crafts. I don't know what their crafts were exactly because I was eating lunch at the time, but I do know that one involved their pictures and the other was an ornament. After that, they ran their show again with some Youth singers as the audience, then the Youth joined them to sing "Cover The World". I should also note that the two choirs played the game 'Martha' together, this time called 'Martha Jones' in honour of Doctor Who's 50th anniversary. I should also mention that I came to the workshop dressed as River Song, a character from the show.
The Youth ran through their show. CM has shortened some songs so that we will be able to get through our whole show during rehearsals, and also so the second half of the concert doesn't get too long. They did a craft involving glass (or were they plastic?) ornaments as well as one involving their pictures and snowflakes. They then ran through a few scenes and songs.
Then we all went home to watch Doctor Who. Or at least CM and I did. And I must say, we were not disappointed. If you haven't seen "The Day of the Doctor" yet, I highly encourage you to do so. Even if you don't know that much about Doctor Who. You might be incredibly confused, but hopefully you'll also be entertained.
Any"who" (ha ha, see what I did there?), I'll see you all on Thursday. Keep listening to your CDs and going over your lines!
